Mary E. Foster was born in South Carolina and has lived in Michigan most of her life. Foster works predominantly in the medium of painting where her technique involves using mixed media and building up texture in her pieces. She also enjoys using her camera and taking black and white photographs. Foster received her BFA degree from Saginaw Valley State University and received her MFA degree from Central Michigan University in 2007.
Mary has taught various workshops. She has taught in public schools, universities and online.
She has exhibited in various solo and group shows across the nation. Her work is in private as well as public collections.
